The color Purple relates to the imagination and our spirituality. It can stimulate the imagination and allow us to get in touch with our inner most deeper thoughts.
Whilst the colour Violet is not quite as intense as the colour Purple generally the meaning of the colors is similar. Both contain the energy and strength of red with the spirituality and integrity of blue. This repressnts in us the union of body and soul creating a balance between our physical and our spiritual energies.
When it comes to the meaning of colors, Purple and Violet represent the future, our imagination and our dreams whilst spiritually calming our emotions.
Violet and purple support the practice of meditation which is why it is the perfect colour paint for some in their bedrooms although it must be mentioned that too much of the color can promote or aggravate depression in some. It is a color that should be used extremely carefully and in small amounts by those who could be vulnerable to this.
