Colour psychology of pink

Use pink for tranquility in a room. You might surprised of the effects that some pink can have in your paint scheme.

THE COLOUR PINK USED AS INTERIOR PAINT CAN HAVE THE FOLLOWING POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE EFFECTS:

Positive: Physical tranquility, nurturing, warm, feminine, loving and sexual.
Negative: Promotes inhibition, emotional claustrophobia, emasculation and physical weakness.

Being a tint of red, pink also affects us physically, but it soothes, rather than stimulates. Pink is a powerful colour, psychologically. It represents the feminine principle and survival of the species. It is nurturing and physically soothing. Too much pink can be physically draining and somewhat emasculating.
